LAST LETTER
On this solemn day, we honor those who were WILLING to lay down their lives so that we could freely live ours. As soldiers prepare for battle, many write “LAST LETTERS.” These are final words to their families in the event they don’t make it home. I am moved by the gallantry and bravery of these soldiers as they have boldly protected our freedom. Below, is a letter to home from a mortally wounded soldier just before he passed. Written in the 1800’s, the verbiage (as writ

CURSE WORDS
A new science called Epigenetics has discovered that EXTREME TRAUMA can be transgenerational and could be passed on for up to 4 generations. Traumatic personal, professional, cultural, and even historical events can shape generation after generation. Trauma like Slavery, the Holocaust, 911, the Pandemic, sustained abuse, job loss, illnesses, imprisonment, natural disasters, financial loss etc… can and will drive adaptable and addictable behaviors. "FORE" or is it "FOUR"
I’m playing golf on a beautiful Saturday when all of a sudden, from behind me I hear a guy yell…“FORE!!!” Universally, we know this is a warning about impending danger, a warning to be alert, a warning to look up. Where did this word “FORE” come from??? In ancient times, golf balls were expensive, In those days, they had a helper called a FORE-CADDIE. The FORE-CADDIE went out ahead of the golfers, and when they (the golfers) were about to hit the golf ball, they would yel

Your Mindset is where your Mind Sits.
The year is 1666 and London is on fire. The most famous Cathedral of the day has burned to the ground. Christopher Wren was commissioned to rebuild St. Pauls Cathedral. He was walking up on the construction and he sees 3 different guys laying bricks. One's not doing so great, one's doing okay, and then the third is just killing it. Wren says to the 1st guy “what are you doing?” The worker basically says “what's it look like I'm doing I'm laying bricks. I'm just trying to feed

Was it really a "GOOD FRIDAY?"
2000 years ago, I’m not sure the Disciples and early Christians understood it to be a Good Friday? I’ll bet they thought it was a tragic Friday. In Life many times, we suffer great loss, personal tragedies, and great pain. It is confusing to think that a loving FATHER would allow us to endure such pain and afflictions. I certainly don’t understand it sometimes. I do find comfort in the verse from Psalms 66:10 that says , “For you, God, tested us; you refined us like silv

Reluctant Obediance
A Christian lady was taking a flight, and she was reading her Bible. The guy sitting next to her, sarcastically says, “You don't really believe all that stuff that's in that book, do you?” She says, “I do. I believe every word.” He said, “You believe a guy got thrown overboard, swallowed by a great fish, and 3 days later, it spit him out on the beach.” She said, “I do, I believe every word.” He said, “Well, how could that be?” She said, “I don't know. But when I get to heaven

A quiet ride on the EMPATHY TRAIN
If you've ever been to New York City, then you know how crazy and chaotic it can be, and especially if you've ever been on the subway. I want you to imagine this is a Sunday morning.
It's early, it's super quiet. This gentleman is sitting on the train, headed into town, just reading his paper and drinking his coffee. At one of the stops, the silence is shattered as the doors open. A man walks on the train with his 4 kids, and they are going absolutely crazy.
They're running

Pay it forward
It’s 7am and an elderly lady rolled up to the Starbucks drive-thru window on Tyrone Blvd (St Petersburg). She decided to pay for the person’s coffee behind her. The elated driver behind her, decided to do the same thing for the person behind them. This random act of kindness called “Paying it forward” , went on for 11 hours and served 378 consecutive cars. It was reported by the USA today and the Tampa Bay Times. Some people even came back later in the day and participate
