A switch hitter, the all-time leader in hits (4,256), games played (3,562), at-bats (14,053), singles (3,215), and outs (10,328). He won Rookie of the Year. three World Series, three batting titles, (1) MVP and (2) Gold Gloves (as an outfielder). He made 17 All-Star appearances at an unequaled five positions. Arguably, baseballs Greatest of All-Time, Pete Rose, had a life-time of accomplishments tarnished and essentially erased in an instant, due to a bad decision.
In the Bible in Genesis 25:29-34 we see the story of Esau and Jacob. Esua is famished and his hunger leads him to trade his birthright for a bowl of stew. Then in Genesis 27:34-35 We see the devastation of that decision
3When Esau heard his father’s words, he burst out with a loud and bitter cry and said to his father, “Bless me—me too, my father!” 35 But he said, “Your brother came deceitfully and took your blessing.”
Life is not fair, don’t be measured by a choice you’ve made, on what could have been the worst day of your life.
Y’all have a great day and GOD bless you.
