Pay it forward

It’s 7am and an elderly lady rolled up to the Starbucks drive-thru window on Tyrone Blvd (St Petersburg). She decided to pay for the person’s coffee behind her. The elated driver behind her, decided to do the same thing for the person behind them.
This random act of kindness called “Paying it forward”, went on for 11 hours and served 378 consecutive cars. It was reported by the USA today and the Tampa Bay Times. Some people even came back later in the day and participated again (lol).
Studies show that when people witness virtuous acts, especially one that helps others, it creates an euphoric feeling called “EMOTIONAL ELEVATION”. Which leads to altruistic (unselfishly concerned) behavior.
Ø “Paying it forward” changes lives, even if it’s just for that day.
Ø “Paying it forward” inspires generosity and compassion.
Ø “Paying it forward” alters our cultural identity at home, work and socially.
Ø “Paying it forward” will encourage others to take the emotional or financial risk following your lead.
In the Bible we see the ULTIMATE example of “Paying it forward” in Jesus Christ, who willingly laid down his life as a sacrifice for sins.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
John 15:13 Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.
Y’all have a great day and GOD bless you.
