Identify with the Lion...not the Gazelle.

Did you know that GOD only identified himself with 2 animals, the Eagle and the Lion (Jesus was the Lamb of GOD).  The Eagle is the king of the bird kingdom (domain) and the Lion is the King of the animal kingdom (domain).  The Lion represents a spirit of leadership through ATTITUDE. and RELENTLESSNESS. The Lion (literally) is not the tallest, largest, heaviest, fastest, or even the smartest animal in the jungle but when the Lion shows up they all take notice.

Alexander the Great said “I am not afraid of an army of lions led by a sheep (not withstanding Jesus); I am afraid of an army of sheep led by a Lion.” I think you get the jist of that. The Lion rules because of one word…CONFIDENCE. 

Proverbs 30:30 says “A lion, mighty among beasts, who retreats before nothing.”  The Lion is fearless no matter the odds. We can have that same confidence in Christ.

Ray Lewis said “His mentality, is the only difference between the Lion and the Elephant, when the Lion walks up and see’s an Elephant, he thinks lunch and the Elephant thinks run.” 

I think sometimes we feel more like a Gazelle than a Lion. The Gazelle wakes up everyday running from the Lion.  What are you running from? At least the Gazelle understands that he doesn’t have to be faster than the Lion, he just has to be faster than the slowest Gazelle.  You don’t want to be in the back of the pack, if you expect to survive.  

2 Thessalonians 3:10 10 For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: “The one who is unwilling to work shall not eat.”

Everyone likes to eat but only a few are brave enough to hunt.  Life is a jungle and you will either fight and dominate or hide and evaporate. Y’all have a great day and GOD bless you.
