I can't...I stutter

James was just a 4-year-old little boy and because of some trauma in his life, he developed a stuttering problem. James would silently suffer for the next 10 years. His self-esteem was so low that he rarely spoke at home and even less in public. This aversion to speaking deemed him functionally mute.

In High School, James developed a passion for poetry, This passion escalated from reading poetry, to writing poetry. This caught the eye of a beloved English teacher. Mr. Crouch would create a pivotal point in his young life. Unexpectedly, while in class, Mr.Crouch asked James to standup in read one of his poems.

Surprisingly, as James read the poem, he spoke perfectly, no hesitation, no stuttering what-so-ever. This was a massive turning point and with the help of Mr. Crouch, James began to utilize poetry as therapy. The journey to find his voice would lead him to enroll in a dramatic reading class and even a debate class.

In 1977 James Earl Jones became the voice of Darth Vader in “Star Wars” and in 1994 the voice of Mufasa in the animated movie “The Lion King” Arguably becoming  the most iconic voice in theatre and movie history,

There was another guy in Bible history who also had a stuttering problem. His name was Moses. When GOD called Moses to lead the Israelites out of Egypt, Moses was filled with excuses one of which was “I’m slow of speech and tongue (I stutter)”,

Exodus 4:11 The Lord said to him, “Who gave human beings their mouths? Who makes them deaf or mute? Who gives them sight or makes them blind? Is it not I, the Lord? 12 Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.”

We all have fears and doubts from time to time. Not only is GOD with us, the Bible says he also goes ahead of us on the Journey. The Bible also says he will also give his Angels charge over us. So, its not just GOD, its GOD and all of Heaven.

Deuteronomy 31:8 "The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged".

Lets not forget, we are children of the Most High GOD. We have royal blood coursing through our veins. We are the King’s Kids. Y’all have a great day and GOD bless you.
