Don't let them "SHOULD" on you

There was this grandfather and his little grandson going into town with a donkey. The grandfather picked his little grandson up and sat him on the donkey. A couple walked by and said "look at that little boy making that old grandfather walk while he's up on the donkey". The grandfather took his little grandson down and he rode the donkey into town. Another couple walked by and said "look at that mean old man riding that donkey and making that poor little boy walk". So the grandfather picked up his grandson and put him on the back of the donkey with him. When they got into town another couple said "awww that poor donkey has to carry those two people, so sad". What do you do at this point to make people happy…CARRY THE DONKEY?

It is impossible to make everyone happy.  There is no doubt we all want to be well liked, we have a need to feel significant.  However, you gotta be able to filter out their rhetoric.  The naysayers will say he SHOULD-A did it this way or she SHOULD-A done it that way. People will SHOULD ON YOU at the drop of a hat. Listen to it enough, you might SHOULD on yourself.  Even in Christ day, many people could not be satisfied.

Luke 7:33-35 33 For John the Baptist came neither eating bread nor drinking wine, and you say, ‘He has a demon.’ 34 The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and you say, ‘Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners.

If we can get up each day with the Christ-like attitude and ask him to order our steps and then if we’ll be smart enough to walk in those steps. Then we will do the Christ-like thing because it’s the Christ-like thing.

Y’all have a great day and GOD bless you.
