Alice said to the Cheshire Cat, “Would you tell me, please, which way I ought to go from here?” The Cheshire Cat said to Alice,”That depends a good deal on where you want to get to.” Alice replied,“I don’t much care where.” The Cheshire Cat replied, “Then it doesn’t much matter which way you go.”
Lewis Carrol, who actually wrote Alice in Wonderland, famously quoted “if you don’t know where you are going, any road will get you there.” How could you ever hope to have fulfillment in life without purpose or direction? It is so simple, but people refuse to establish professional, personal or spiritual roadmaps for their lives. For most, it’s a WILLFULL BLINDNESS. They don’t want to specify the conditions for their failure.
They choose to stay in a vague, foggy place where being average is acceptable. They don’t even realize that an unambitious future is the greatest failure,…you don’t recover from. The FAILURE of FULLFILLMENT seems minimal at first. They barely realize their life is stacking up invisible instances of avoidance, indecision and procrastination. Day after day and week after week and year after year. Then one day, their lack of meaningful achievement, in their business life and their spiritual life becomes horrifyingly obvious. Then they say “well, it’s too late to recover,” and they stay ADDICTED to EASY.
Proverbs 21:5 The plans of the diligent lead to profit as surely as haste leads to poverty.
Proverbs 16:3 “Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.”
GOD’s called us with a purpose. We are not hear to be willfully blind and stumble through life, Paul said in Phillipians 3:12 Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Y’all have a great day and GOD bless you.
